Man, camping was pretty awesome. (Oh, did you see what I did there?)
Describing all 5 days and four nights in a post like this seems very... long. Not impossible, of course. I just don't think any would bother.
O' course, I find a summary thing necessary.

June 22 - June 26.
Day 1 - To the Land of Yogi:

  • wtf. Several people could have had so many more hours of sleep...
  • Slumdog Millionaire = epic movie
  • speaking of Slumdog Millionaire... my mom is terrible when it comes to watching movies. "This is all symbolism." "After the kiss, they'll have sex. They just cut it off at the credits." "Gone With The Wind is a classic. No kissing or sex either."
  • Jobelle has a big tent.

Day 2 - The Arrival of the Men:

  • I woke up at 5:50am. Everyone else: "stfu Demi."
  • Hey guys.
  • Oh sorry, I meant MEN.
  • The MEN are PYROMANIACS. These are now synonyms in my mind (actually, just kidding. Justin = pyro)
  • The men are also our tent neighbors. I still don't know if it was good or bad.

Day 3 - The Flood (lol. halo...)

  • I woke up at 5:40am.
  • BUT IT WAS THE RAINSTORM THIS TIME.
  • And the guys too.
  • Hanging out in the Man Tent was... cool?
  • I learned Brian could kill insects with a finger gun. Beast.
  • And poor Prancis had a tummy ache. Ierno.
  • How long were we chilling in the tents (for the most part)!? Like what... 5/6 hours?
  • We had brunch brought to us.
  • I hate the rain. It flooded every tent (except for the Man Tent--damn).
  • I changed FOUR times that day.

Day 4 - Merry Christmas

  • I woke up at 5:30am. What the heeeelll?
  • wtf. I'm guessing a lot of things happened, ierno when though.

Day 5 - Gone With The Wind

  • I woke up at 5:20am. SRSLY. EARLY MORNINGS NEED TO GTFO.
  • Thank you men, for bringing breakfast for us. Really!
  • My dad is apparently the man. Aight.
  • It's fun blasting music in a car louad enough for the neighboring campsites to hear.
  • It's also fun to play the Rock My World (Michael Jackson) intro while people walk by. Chris Tucker & Michael Jackson = win.
  • Brancis have a manly handshake. So manly, when they do it in the streets people yell in excitement.

Gah. Day 3.5(afternoon)-5 all blended together. Help me out. I remember things, I just don't know when we did what.

  • First time we bought Jiffypo(o)p and fire coloring.
  • Man + canoe.
  • Haha. Francis' (lack of) abs.
  • Walking around late, uke and guitar in someone's hands. Singing and chilling at the playground before we got kicked out.
  • Staying up late-ish (1am?) while randomly talking, and listening to Birthday Shh and something else.
  • swimming. Justin: Seriously. Did you really have to exclaim "OH!" when we were at the pool?
  • I laugh and frown at the fact that we were still talking while showering...
  • walking to Candace's cabin. (I'll figure this one out)
  • second time we went swimming: swimming shorts failure, men.
  • harmonizing
  • glowstick nunchucks. That was pretty sick.
  • Francis, Abbiee, and Bobbito. FAB.
  • more?
Um yeah.
We got really tan there too.
There are 3 songs that will forever remind me of Yogi '09...

AND OF COURSE!

the end

awesome summer streak = kick A.S.S.
Saturday, July 18, 2009 6:57 AM
Good morning.
... I never slept, but that's not the point.

I'm not really finding my summer all that amazing. In fact, I think it could be one of the most bland and boring summers I've had (that I can remember). I have my theories on why it's so boring, but if I explained it now, I'd probably kill the buttons on my cellphone. (Too bad i can't ask for one for my birthday. The two year thing hasn't worn off yet. :/)
Maybe i'll just edit and add it in later.

[add] (9am)
So for the past 5 summers (2004-2008), what have I done? Let's see: I've gone to Oregon(x3), Florida, California (x2), Mexico, and on a cruise to the Bahamas. I've gone camping each year and each time pwn'd the next. There were lots of big Filipino events going on too: the '06 Debutantes' ball, PDCo's Luau, etc. PDCo was so active back then*. Then, there was my 13th birthday and my graduation (plus the 2836428364 parties afterwards).
Back then, I kind of prayed for a break.
But I my exciting summer life has slowed down since then. I guess there are the common reasons: us getting older and the economy, but there's more to it in my eyes.

Well, in the last five years, I've gone through three schools. J.F. Kennedy, B.F.C.C.P.S., and now Ursuline Academy. Each time, I'm always that one person going to a different school. No joke. No one from elementary school went with me to middle school. No one from my middle school went (at the same time) to my high school. I had to start from scratch at school everytime, while keeping my old friends gold. This 'keeping my old friends gold' thing would occur mostly over the summer. I could easily chill with friends and spend as much time as possible before I'd have to go to school again and probably not seem them for another year or MORE. ):
This still happens. The more schools I go to, the more I have to leave behind. The more I need an exciting summer to have fun.

* The second thing that kept my summers (and in general, my life) busy was the Philippines Dance Company of Boston, Inc. That was like... what I lived for and what I breathed... for a while. PDCo was the group that brought many of my friends together. It was definitely something worth doing. Yeah, some dances are a pain to learn and the phrase "Okay okay, one more time and we're done." was equal to "Panginoon, maawa ka. You guys are terrible. Do it AGAIN." But when we'd actually perform, we (usually) did it right and impressed the crowd. It was painstakingly fulfilling?
But, as soon as Tito Bill stepped down from president (after Alab ng Puso and before the Debutantes' Ball), ierno... PDCo was fading away. Lots of people seemed uninterested and stopped showing up places (and Nina + Vincent left!) The Debutantes Ball was beautiful, but there wasn't much after that (unless someone can recall for me?). For a long time there were no dance practices, no parties, no big events... I didn't see a lot of my friends and I always asked my mom where'd PDCo go. Tita Jean and Tito Nick haven't done much for PDCo, I'll be absolutely blunt with that. I thank God there's a new president coming up.
After a time, I (and I guess a lot of people) kind of gave up on PDCo. Instead, we were representing PNANE--same group of kids and parents, different group name. Though, I don't think it's the same. Choir came up recently too, wow that fell far from the dancing tree...

Well I dunno anymore. Those two things are the biggest and most important reasons, in my eyes, that my summers aren't so kick ass anymore.

[/add]

I really don't want to end my streak of memorable summers. I can feel the boring essence sinking in the July rain (not heat, wtf).
I'm thinking and hoping the memorable part of summer will start with the camping trip. Oh snapCRACKLEpop-rice krispies, yo.
From then on, there's the NEW Debutantes ball and *INSERT SECRET HERE*. (Note to self: start memorizing.)
Sounds sorta exciting, right? Yeah...
I'm hoping.

Oh yeah, and I hope the sun appears more often than the rain soon. It's already ridiculously annoying.

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!
Friday, July 17, 2009 4:16 AM
It's about four in the morning. Obviously, I can't sleep. It's been like this for the past few days. What's worse, my dad and my brother just play Gears of War like it's nothing special. For a while, this is great; I can stay up until I want to sleep. But then, when I want to sleep, they're STILL GOING. No. If you're thinking 'But you sleep in a different room,' oh boy, that doesn't matter. Those two can be intense gamers and yell strategies at each other (or other live players) like it's the end of the world. Personally, I can't stand the spontaneous 'He's at the spawn point!!' or 'ARE YOU SERIOUS?! He's a hacker.' Well, that's enough of me ranting on my cellphone. Haha. I think they're getting tired. Goodnight.

Heyo. When's the last time I blogged!?
Thursday, July 16, 2009 2:18 AM
Haha. The answer is: a long time ago.
No. Like really. A long time ago.

And since I have nothing to say.
Ierno. I'll babble.

It's my birthday five days from now. Remember that.
And then I go camping. Good times from last year.
This year, I'll have more friends coming, there's a Christmas theme... and we have a bigger tent.
OH yes, this'll be great.

That'll probably when I really start blogging.
